A standalone single from 1982, "The Visitors" closed out ABBA's recording career with a characteristically polished but somewhat melancholic sound. It was released on the Polar Music label.
- "The Visitors" was released on 1 April 1982 in Sweden and Japan. The single featured "The Tra La La Song (This Is The Way Old Man Traveler Used To Do)" as its B-side. It was the final single released by ABBA during their active period.
- The single reached number 10 on Sweden's singles chart. It also charted in Japan, reaching number 46. The song was later included on the 1999 box set "The Complete Studio Recordings".
- The song was recorded in 1981 during the sessions for ABBA's final studio album, also titled "The Visitors". The single was released after the album had already been in the charts for some time.
ABBA was a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972. They are best known for their string of pop hits in the 1970s and early 1980s. "The Visitors" was released as a single in April 1982, near the end of ABBA's active career. The group would disband later that year.
