Underworld

heavy metalhard rock

Adagio's 2003 album Underworld saw the band further refine their blend of neoclassical intricacy and heavy metal power, this time with a more pronounced symphonic edge. The addition of new vocalist David Readman and drummer Dirk Bruinenberg brought a fresh dynamic to Stéphan Forté's already complex compositions.

Adagio is a French neoclassical/symphonic metal band, formed in 1997. The band has seen numerous lineup changes throughout its career, with guitarist and founder Stéphan Forté remaining the sole constant member. Underworld, their third studio album, was released during a period of significant personnel shifts, following the departure of their original vocalist and drummer. It also marked their first release with the German label AVALON.
