Invisible Circles marks a significant shift in After Forever's sound, moving towards a more electronic and modern progressive metal style. It features guest vocals from Russell Allen and Sharon den Adel.

After Forever was a Dutch symphonic metal band formed in 1995, known for their blend of operatic vocals, heavy guitar riffs, and complex arrangements. The band dissolved in 2009. This album was released during a period of increasing international recognition for the band.
