Strange Attractor is the twelfth studio album by Alphaville, released in 2017. The album marked a return to a more electronic sound for the band.
- The album was produced by Bernard Lohr and co-produced by Alphaville members Marian Gold and Max Loderbauer. It was released on April 7, 2017, by Polydor Records. The album features eleven tracks, including the singles "Heartbeat" and "Giants."
- The album was recorded at Holy Hall studios in Münster, Germany. The cover art was designed by graphic designer Dirk Rudolph. The album reached number 75 on the German album charts.
- The album was preceded by the release of the single "Heartbeat" in March 2017. The band toured in support of the album in 2017 and 2018. Strange Attractor was reissued in 2019 with bonus tracks.
Alphaville is a German synth-pop band formed in Münster in 1982. They are best known for their 1980s hits "Big in Japan," "Sounds Like a Melody," and "Forever Young."
