Ammonia were an Australian alternative rock band. They were active in the 1990s, and are best known for their singles "Sisters" and "You're Not Here". Ammonia was formed in Sydney in 1991. The band had recently released their second album, *The Ecstasy of Rita Joe*, which was critically acclaimed but failed to chart. The single "Monochrome" was released in early 1998.
