After a decade-long absence from studio albums, Anthrax returned with "Worship Music," featuring a revitalized lineup and a sound that bridged their classic thrash roots with a more modern metal sensibility.
- The album was originally slated for a 2009 release with vocalist Dan Nelson, but was delayed and re-recorded with Brian "Head" Welch after Nelson's departure.

Anthrax is a Grammy-nominated thrash metal band from New York City, formed in 1981. They are considered one of the "big four" of thrash metal, alongside Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer. "Worship Music" marked the studio debut of lead vocalist Brian "Head" Welch, who had previously fronted the band during their early years and rejoined in 2010.
