At the Gates are a Swedish metal band formed in 1990, widely regarded as one of the pioneers of melodic death metal. They were a key band in the development of the Gothenburg scene before their initial disbandment in 1996. Terminal Spirit Disease was released in 2001 on Peaceville Records.
