Boonoonoonoos

dance-popdisco

The 1981 album Boonoonoonoos saw Boney M. consciously shifting away from their signature disco sound towards a more diverse pop sensibility, incorporating reggae and R&B influences into their dance-pop framework.

Boney M. were a German-Caribbean pop group created by producer Frank Farian. They were best known for their string of disco and euro-pop hits in the late 1970s. Boonoonoonoos marked a transition for the group into the new decade, seeing them experiment with a more mature sound and incorporating elements of reggae and R&B.
