On their fourth album, Dum Dum Girls embraced a cleaner, more direct sound, moving away from the hazy reverb of their earlier work. The result was their most cohesive and arguably most accessible record.
- The album was recorded in El Paso, Texas, with producer Richard Gottehrer, who had previously worked with Blondie and The Go-Go's. It was the last album to feature lead guitarist/vocalist Jules Frazer. The album reached number 33 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
- The album title is a reference to the 1985 film "Too Beautiful to Kill."

Dum Dum Girls was the project of San Francisco-born singer-songwriter Kristin Gundred, who released music informed by 1960s girl groups and 1980s indie pop. In 2014, the band was still a going concern, having recently released their third LP.
