Jam & Spoon is the electronic music project of German producers Rolf Ellmer and Markus Löffel, later joined by vocalist/lyricist Rea Garvey. They emerged from the Frankfurt club scene in the early '90s, pioneering a trance sound that blended techno, ambient, and rock elements. At the time of "Right in the Night," the project was establishing its international profile following the success of "Stella."
