The Jazz Warriors' debut, "Out of Many, One People," was a bold statement of intent from a UK jazz ensemble. It featured a large ensemble playing a challenging mix of jazz fusion and more traditional jazz idioms.

• The album was recorded at Olympic Studios in London. It was produced by Nick Ralph and mixed by Andy Jackson.
• The album was released on April 19, 1987, by Universal-Island Records. It reached number 18 on the UK Jazz Album Chart.
• The ensemble featured a young Wynton Marsalis on trumpet for the track "Kush." It was one of the few times Marsalis recorded with a UK-based ensemble.

The Jazz Warriors were an 18-piece jazz ensemble formed in 1985. They were a seminal part of the UK's black music scene in the late 80s and early 90s.
