Joe Dolce is an Australian singer-songwriter who, after a period as a music teacher and a stint in prog-rock band Meridian, found international success with novelty pop songs. He had previously released the album "Matilda and Other Nursery Rhymes" and would go on to release the album "Shaddap You Face" in the same year.
