The B-side to "Don't Take Your Guns to Town," this single found Cash experimenting with a more produced sound than his earlier Sun material. It marked a transition as he moved from Sun to Columbia Records.
- "All Over Again" was recorded at the legendary RCA Victor studios in Nashville. The single reached number 11 on the Billboard country charts. It was Cash's first single released on the Columbia Records label.
- "All Over Again" was produced by Don Law, who had previously worked with Cash on some of his Sun Records sessions. The song features a prominent horn section, a departure from Cash's earlier sparse arrangements. Although "Don't Take Your Guns to Town" was the A-side, "All Over Again" became a fan favorite for its lyrical depth and musicality.
- The single was released in November 1958, shortly after Cash's departure from Sun Records. He would go on to have a prolific career with Columbia, releasing numerous hit songs and albums. Music Manager was a short-lived imprint of Columbia Records.
