
Kevin Durr's 2014 collection "Songbird" offers a clutch of his most affecting compositions. The album was self-released.
- "Songbird" was recorded over three days in Durr's home studio. The album features guest appearances from members of the Portland folk scene. "Songbird" charted at number 23 on the folk charts in its first week of release.
- "Songbird" was met with critical acclaim, with many praising Durr's songwriting and intimate vocal delivery. The album is considered by many to be one of Durr's most personal works. It was named Album of the Year by the Oregonian newspaper.
- The album was produced by Durr himself, with engineering by longtime collaborator Mark Johnson. The mixing and mastering were completed at Flora Recording & Sound in Portland. This was Durr's first release in five years.
