A surprise EP released on Christmas Day, "Summer in the Winter" found Kid Ink experimenting with a more subdued, atmospheric sound.

Kid Ink is a Los Angeles-based rapper known for his melodic, R&B-infused hip-hop style. "Summer in the Winter" was released at the tail end of his major-label run, following his 2015 album "Full Speed."
