Babel

electronicambient

"Babel" finds Klaus Schulze exploring a more structured, yet still atmospheric, side of electronic music, blending his signature synth textures with a subtle rhythmic pulse. It captures the artist at a point where his improvisational style began to incorporate more defined melodic and structural elements.

Klaus Schulze is a German electronic music pioneer, a multi-instrumentalist composer known for his work in ambient, Berlin-Krautrock, and space music. He was a member of Tangerine Dream and Ash Ra Tempel before embarking on a prolific solo career. In 1987, Schulze was deep into his solo work, having released dozens of albums since his departure from Ash Ra Tempel and Tangerine Dream in the early 1970s, continuing to refine his signature synthesizer-driven soundscapes.
