This 2012 collection gathers material from Lo Fat Orchestra's brief but impactful period of activity in the late 70s and early 80s. It's a raw document of a band ahead of their time.
- The A-side, "The Second Word Is Love," was recorded in 1979 at a BBC session for John Peel. The B-side, "No Control," was recorded live at the Moonlight Club in 1980.
- The release was curated by reissue specialists Punkerama Records. It features liner notes from music journalist Mick Mercer.
- "The Second Word Is Love" reached number 17 on the UK Independent Chart in May 2012.
Lo Fat Orchestra is a garage rock band from London, active in the late 1970s and early 1980s. They emerged from the same scene that would later produce bands like The Adverts and The Slits.
