The band’s final release for Reprise, "Tomorrow Hit Today" found Mudhoney continuing their tradition of delivering raw, unpretentious alternative rock. It was their first album to not feature longtime guitarist Steve Turner.
- The album was produced by Mudhoney and recorded at Pot Studios in Silver Lake, California. It was the band's only album released on Reprise Records. "Tomorrow Hit Today" charted at number 14 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart.
- "Erase Yourself" was released as a single from the album. Music videos were produced for "Erase Yourself" and "Talkin' Bout My Generation".
- The album was reissued in 2000 by Polydor Records. It was their last album with guitarist Ron Asheton.
Mudhoney is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1988. They are considered pioneers of the grunge genre, known for their raw, distorted sound and independent ethos. In 1998, Mudhoney were between major-label deals, having recently departed Interscope. The band would sign with Sub Pop later that year for future releases.
