This 2003 release features the distinctive blend of electronic soundscapes and sampled world music elements that defined Muslimgauze's prolific output. The album showcases the artist's singular approach to merging disparate sonic traditions into a cohesive, often challenging, whole.

Muslimgauze was the recording name of Bryn Jones, a prolific electronic musician from Manchester, England, whose work explored Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African musical influences. His extensive catalog, released primarily in the 1990s and early 2000s, often tackled political themes and was characterized by a fusion of ambient textures, hip-hop beats, and sampled traditional music. "Arabbox" was released posthumously, following Jones's death in January 2003, on the Soleilmoon Recordings label.
