This 2011 album from Nargaroth eschews the more experimental tendencies of recent years in favor of a straightforward, aggressive black metal sound. It features guest vocals from members of Peste Noire and Inquisition.
- The album was recorded at Germany's Klangschmiede Studio E, with the label's owner Markus Stock (Empyrium, Sun of the Sleepless) as engineer.
- It is the first Nargaroth album to feature guest vocalists, with K.K. Nihil of the French band Peste Noire and Dagon of the American band Inquisition contributing.
- The album was released on Season of Mist Underground Activists in a limited edition digipak with a bonus track, "The Agony of My Soul."
Nargaroth is the black metal project of German multi-instrumentalist René Marschollek, known for its raw, atmospheric sound and often controversial lyrical themes. This 2011 album arrived after a period of internal turmoil and lineup changes within the project.
