Sleeps with Angels

folk rockclassic rock

"Sleeps with Angels" found Neil Young and Crazy Horse returning to a harder, more atmospheric sound, with tracks ranging from blistering jams to introspective ballads, largely inspired by the death of Kurt Cobain.

Neil Young is a Canadian folk-rock and classic rock iconoclast, known for his distinctive vocal style and often raw, unvarnished production. Crazy Horse is his longtime backing band, with whom he has recorded some of his most celebrated work. "Sleeps with Angels" was released in 1994, at a time when Young was exploring a more raw and melancholic sound following the critical and commercial success of "Harvest Moon."
