The 2003 album "Pure" saw No Angels embrace a more mature dance-pop sound, incorporating electronic influences and R&B-tinged vocals. It was their first album released after the departure of founding member Nadja Benaissa.

No Angels were a German girl group formed in 2000 through the RTL II-televised singing competition "Popstars". They were one of the most successful German pop groups of the early 2000s, with a string of chart-topping singles and albums. In 2003, No Angels were at a transitional point in their career, having recently lost a member and preparing to release their third studio album, "Pure," which would mark a shift in their musical direction.
