Handle With Care, Nuclear Assault's fourth studio album, saw the band exploring a more melodic and, at times, accessible thrash metal sound. The album, however, still retained the band's signature aggression and lyrical themes.
- The album was produced by Terry Date, who would go on to work with many prominent metal bands. Handle With Care was the band's first release on the Legacy Recordings label. It marked a slight departure from their earlier, more aggressive material, incorporating more traditional metal structures and choruses.
- The album's track "Critical Mass" became a fan favorite and a staple of their live shows. Despite its critical reception, the album did not chart on the Billboard 200.
- Handle With Care was released in November 1989, near the end of the thrash metal boom of the late 1980s. The album featured a more polished production than their previous efforts.
Nuclear Assault is a thrash metal band from New York City, formed in 1984. They were known for their crossover thrash sound and socially conscious lyrics. Handle With Care was released in the later part of their initial run, after their most commercially successful period.
