Seligpreisung

The first Popol Vuh album to feature female vocals, Seligpreisung moved their sound toward a more serene, devotional quality, balancing acoustic textures with the band's signature synth work.

Popol Vuh were a Munich-based quintet formed in 1969, pioneers of the Kosmische Musik scene. Seligpreisung arrived mid-career, after their soundtrack work for Werner Herzog films like Aguirre, the Wrath of God, and before their more overtly spiritual explorations.
