This 1991 Criss Cross Jazz release captures tenor saxophonist Lalama leading a stellar cast of New York players through a set of post-bop tunes. The album is a prime example of the straight-ahead hard bop the label was known for in the early 90s.

Ralph Lalama is a tenor saxophonist from the Pittsburgh jazz scene, known for his hard-swinging bebop style. "Feelin' and Dealin'" arrived midway through his prolific recording career on the Criss Cross Jazz label.
