Rosenrot eschews the high-concept narratives of its predecessors in favor of a more direct, riff-driven approach, making it one of Rammstein's most immediate albums. The album contains some of the band's most enduring songs, including "Benzin" and the title track.
- Rosenrot was the first Rammstein album not to have a word in the German language in its title. It was recorded in late 2004 and early 2005 at the studios in Andalusia, Spain, and in Salzburg, Austria. The album reached number 29 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart in the US.
- Rosenrot was released in October 2005, between the tours for Mutter and Reise, Reise. It was a commercial success, charting in the top 10 in several European countries. The album's themes explore love, obsession, and mortality, often with a dark, ironic twist.
