War Music, the band's seventh studio album, arrived as a typically furious and politically charged statement from the veteran hardcore outfit. It was recorded at the legendary Sweet Silence Studio in Copenhagen with producer Tom Soares.

Refused is a Swedish hardcore punk band formed in Umeå in 1991, widely known for their seminal 1998 album, The Shape of Punk to Come. War Music was released in the latter half of their career, following their 2012 reunion and 2015 comeback album Freedom.
