Silverchair is a rock band from Newcastle, Australia, that formed in 1992. They achieved international success at a young age with their debut album Frogstomp. Following the release of "Straight Lines" in 2007, the band would go on an indefinite hiatus after their subsequent album, 2007's Young Moderns.
