Australiana was the first album released on Slim Dusty Enterprises, the label he co-founded. It was also his first album to feature mostly spoken word tracks.
- The album was recorded at Bill Anderson's Recording Studio in Sydney. Australiana peaked at number 24 on the Australian albums chart. The album was later remastered and reissued in 1997.
