- The personnel on the album included Sonny Stitt on alto saxophone, John "Dizzy" Gillespie on trumpet, Ray Bryant on piano, Tommy Potter on bass, and Charles "Specs" Powell on drums. This was one of the few times Gillespie and Stitt recorded together. Gillespie was a longtime admirer of Stitt's playing.
