The debut album, "The Blue Moods of Spain," is a masterclass in slow-burn, melancholic beauty, blending elements of jazz, indie rock, and dream pop into a sound that was both unique and instantly recognizable. It features the standout track "I'll Be Your Neighbor."

Spain is the stage name of singer-songwriter Josh Haden, the younger brother of Pat and Jacqui Haden of If. Known for his melancholic, jazz-inflected approach to indie rock, he has released a relatively small but influential catalog of work. At the time of "The Blue Moods of Spain," Haden had recently relocated to New York City and was working with a new ensemble of musicians.
