This release collects the entirety of The Critters' Project 3 label recordings from 1969, including their final single and unreleased tracks. It showcases a band pushing into new sonic territory.
- The Project 3 recordings were The Critters' last work before their breakup. The sessions featured contributions from keyboardist Mickie Most. Unreleased tracks from these sessions were unearthed decades later.
- The A-side of their final single, "Things Are Getting Better," was co-written by the band's lead singer, Clive Elsdon. The B-side, "You're Just What I Needed," was written by the band's guitarist, Brian Willoughby. The single failed to chart, marking the end of their commercial run.
- The recordings were produced by John Stewart, known for his work with Donovan. The sessions took place at Pye Studios in London. This compilation marks the first time all of these recordings have been available.
