The Dillinger Escape Plan formed in 1997 in Morris Plains, New Jersey, and are known for their complex, mathcore sound. Option Paralysis arrived after a four-year gap since their previous album, during which original guitarist Derek E. Miller had left and Ben Weinman had controversially reformed the band with an entirely new lineup.
