- The album was recorded live at the San Diego Sports Arena. It features many of their most popular songs, including "Listen to the Music" and "Long Train Runnin'". Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, released the album.
- The concert was part of a tour supporting their previous studio album, 'Brotherhood'. The band at this time featured members Michael McDonald and Patrick Simmons.
