This 1966 live recording captures The Doors in their nascent stage, showcasing the raw energy and improvisational explorations that would define their sound. It provides a unique glimpse into the band's early chemistry before their breakthrough success.

• This recording was made at the legendary London Fog club on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. The setlist features early versions of songs that would later appear on their debut album, such as "Light My Fire" and "The End." The tape was discovered in a privately owned archive and is the most complete recording from this venue.
• The Doors played a total of 19 sets over a six-week engagement at the London Fog club in 1966. This release features only one set from that engagement. The London Fog club is still in operation today.
• The Doors' debut album was released in January 1967 and reached number 2 on the Billboard 200. The band's major commercial success came after this period of live performances. The London Fog recording captures the band in a more intimate setting than their later arena shows.
