post-punkindie rock

The Fall's 2008 album features a more rock-oriented sound, moving away from some of the electronic experiments of previous years. The lineup, featuring the dual drumming of Keiron Melling and Dave Spurr, provided a driving rhythm section that propelled the album forward.

The Fall are a long-running post-punk band from Manchester, England, formed in 1976 and known for their prolific output and distinctive, often confrontational, live performances. Formed in 1976, the group has experienced numerous lineup changes, with vocalist Mark E. Smith being the only constant member throughout their history. By 2008, The Fall had released over 25 studio albums, and Imperial Wax Solvent continued their late-career run of critically acclaimed LPs.
