Sanctuary RecordsSee this day

The A-side, "Shangri-La," is a wry, character-driven narrative song that finds Ray Davies in a contemplative mood, while the B-side, "This Man He Loves Me," offers a more upbeat, soulful counterpoint.

The Kinks are a British rock band formed in Muswell Hill, London, in 1963. They are regarded as one of the most influential bands of the 1960s, known for their catchy tunes and Ray Davies's witty lyrics.
