The Mamas & the Papas' final album, "People Like Us," was a brief, uninspired reunion that failed to recapture the magic of their earlier work. The album was released after the group had already disbanded.

The Mamas & the Papas were an American folk-rock vocal group formed in Los Angeles in 1965. The group was comprised of John Phillips, Denny Doherty, Cass Elliot, and Michelle Phillips. They were one of the most successful and influential vocal groups of the late 1960s. This 1971 album, "People Like Us", was the group's final studio album, recorded after their initial breakup and intended as a reunion.
