Aural Sculpture

rockpost-punknew wave

"Aural Sculpture" found The Stranglers continuing their exploration of synthesizers and varied musical textures, cementing their transition from raw punk energy to a more polished, albeit still unconventional, new wave sound.

The Stranglers are a British rock band formed in Guildford, Surrey, in 1974. They emerged from the pub rock scene and became associated with the punk and new wave movements. In 1984, The Stranglers were releasing "Aural Sculpture," their eighth studio album, following a period of lineup changes and evolving musical styles.
