This self-titled debut presents Keith as a confident singer-songwriter with a solid grasp of country tradition and a few chartworthy moments. The material here would quickly evolve, however, as he moved toward the more flag-waving, arena-ready anthems that would define his subsequent stardom.
- The album was released on April 20, 1993, by Show Dog Nashville. It features the singles "I Saw You Dancing" and "He Ain't Worth Missing." "Should've Been This Way" also charted, reaching number 12 on the Billboard country charts.
- Keith co-wrote all but one of the album's tracks. The exception, "Ain't No Price on Love," was written by Jamesicarbon and Dave Gibson.
- The album reached number 63 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. It was his only charting album for the Mercury label.
Toby Keith was a country singer-songwriter from Oklahoma. He became one of the most popular country artists in the world.
