The band's third and final album, "Masks," features a more polished, synth-driven sound that alienated some of their original fans while hinting at the future direction of indie pop.
- "Masks" was recorded at Elephant Studio in Wapping, London, with producer Pat Collier, who had previously worked with The Damned and The Vibrators.
- The album produced two singles, "Inner Heart" and "Alien Ways," neither of which charted.
- "Masks" was reissued on CD in 1992 by Situation Two, but has yet to receive a comprehensive deluxe edition.
Under Two Flags was a post-punk band from the UK, known for their sharp, angular guitar work and detached vocal delivery. At the time of "Masks," they were three years removed from their previous album, "Damage," and struggling to maintain relevance in a rapidly changing indie rock landscape.
