The debut single from the band then known as Fear of Flying, "Death" presaged their commercially successful debut album, To Lose My Life....
- The single was released on 22 September 2008 by [PIAS] Recordings. It was later included on their 2009 debut album, To Lose My Life.... The single was released under the band name Fear of Flying before they changed it to White Lies.
- The B-side to the single was the track "Unfinished Business". The single was released on CD, 7-inch vinyl, and digital download.
- "Death" was the first song White Lies released to the public. It was self-released as a physical CD single in limited quantities prior to the [PIAS] release.
White Lies are a post-punk band from London, England. They formed in 2007 and rose to prominence in the late 2000s indie rock revival scene.
