Fevers and Mirrors

Dead OceansSee this day

The 2000 album "Fevers and Mirrors" marked a significant leap forward for Bright Eyes, moving from lo-fi cassette recordings to a more expansive, orchestral sound that cemented its place in the indie rock canon.

Conor Oberst's project Bright Eyes was formed in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1995, and is known for its diaristic indie rock. At the time of "Fevers and Mirrors," Bright Eyes was a solo act, with Oberst writing and performing all instruments.
