"The Hurry and the Harm" is a collection of ten songs that finds City and Colour grappling with the passage of time and the uncertainty of the future. The album was recorded in Austin, Texas, with producer Gerard Van Leeuwen.
- The album debuted at number one on the Canadian album charts. The first single, "Warrior," was released ahead of the album. City and Colour supported the album with a world tour.
- The album was recorded at the Sound Factory in Hollywood, California. It features guest appearances from The Wallflowers' Greg Adams and Austin de Lone. City and Colour wrote the album in the fall of 2012.
- The album was City and Colour's first to be recorded outside of Canada. It was produced by Gerard Van Leeuwen, who had previously worked with Green on his 2011 album "Bring Me Your Love." The album was released on Dine Alone Music Inc.
Dallas Green performs as City and Colour. He is a Canadian singer-songwriter known for his distinctive vocal style and introspective lyrics. In 2013, he released "The Hurry and the Harm," his fourth studio album.
