"Romantiq" arrived 13 years after Oval's last studio album, the first since Reiche took over the project entirely. The album is a concise statement of intent, a refined and focused distillation of Oval's signature sound.
- The album was recorded and mixed by Reiche at his studio in Berlin. The vinyl release included a bonus CD with extended versions of two tracks. It reached number 9 on the UK Dance Albums Chart.
