The first installment of Gong's Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy, "Flying Teapot" laid the groundwork for the band's unique blend of psychedelic space-rock and whimsical mythology.

Gong is a psychedelic rock band formed in Paris in the late 1960s by Kevin Ayers and Daevid Allen. They are best known for their prolific output and their association with the Canterbury scene. In 1973, Gong released "Flying Teapot," their first album for Virgin Records, which marked a shift towards a more space-rock oriented sound and introduced the band's ongoing "Radio Gnome Invisible" trilogy.
